Rental Equipment: Outdoor Recreation is now offering same day rental return for all GOTB programs. Rental equipment will be available for pick up on the Friday before each trip.

Ski & Soak Mountain Trip
Come with us to beautiful Monarch Mountain for a fun filled day of skiing or snowboarding. After a great day on the slopes, relax in the hot springs of Mt. Princeton.

Ski & Snowboard Tuning Clinic
Having properly tuned equipment is one of the best ways to have the most fun and safest time on your skis or snowboards. That is why Outdoor Recreation is here to help you learn the basics of at home ski and snowboard repair. Our professionally trained ski techs will teach you the techniques you need to keep your equipment performing the way you want it to perform. Be sure to ask about custom orders for your own tuning tools.

- Rock Based Programs
Climbing Wall Orientation
This introductory class will cover knots, belay techniques and climbing communication. After completion, you will be certified to climb the indoor climbing walls located at the Outdoor Recreation Center & Iron Horse Gym. Already know how to belay? Arrive 30 minutes early to test out.
Dates: November 18, December 2 & 16, January 6 & 20, February 3 & 17, March 3, 17 & 31

Morning in the Garden....will return Spring 2019!
In this class we will be ascending rock formations in the Garden of the Gods. While climbing you will be able to see why Colorado has some majestic mountains. The class will meet up at Garden of the Gods Vistor's Center.

Snow Stoked for Winter!
To get you stoked for winter, Outdoor Recreation is proud to announce the showing of "The Fourth Phase", from the innovators of "The Art of Flight" comes a documentary about the iconic snowboarder Travis Rice.
Price of admission will include a machine wax & popcorn during the movie. Open to all ages, however, viewer discretion is advised.

Basic Wilderness First Aid
Anyone who loves the outdoors knows that accidents can happen; and when they do you need to be prepared. Come learn about Wilderness Fist Aid with our Wilderness First Responder certified instructors. We will teach you the basics of Wilderness Fist Aid and how you can prepare yourself for your next adventure.
Dates: January 5
Cost: $15, must be at least 12 years old
**Disclaimer: This course will not provide a certification, but will provide useful information for dealing with minor injuries in the outdoors.
- Water Based Programs

Enjoy a fun and wild ride through Big Horn Sheep Canyon on the mighty Arkansas River. You will be a key element as your guide calls out commands and steers you through some of Colorado’s most classic rapids. No experience is necessary. Individuals must be able to swim, weigh a minimum of 60 lbs., and be at least 8 years old. Spots fill up quickly, so reserve your trip today!
More stable and beginner friendly than a “hard-boat,” inflatable kayaks are another fun way to get out on the water. We’ll run a section of class I-II water, learn about river safety, and enjoy a day in the sun out on the river. No experience necessary Individuals must be able to swim, weigh a minimum of 100 lbs., and be at least 14 years old.
Stand Up Paddle Board (SUP)
Come glide with us and learn the essentials fo SUP, as we get out there and enjoy a Colorado Springs Lake. No experience necessary, however, Individuals must be able to swim.
SUP in the Great Outdoors
Spend the day with us as we go to different lakes or reservoirs each Saturday to see the mountains and colors change. Trip may include some hiking. No experience necessary, however, Individuals must be able to swim.
Adventure Programs and Education (APE) offers a broad range of trips and instructional courses that help you explore the beauty of Colorado. Call to schedule private trips, special group excursions or a custom adventure package. Our full-time, certified outdoor professionals can teach you the necessary skills for good decision-making in the great outdoors. Programs are structured with the highest regard for customer service, safety and preservation of the environment.
