Note: This event has already passed.

The three-day Instructor Training Course runs from 9am to 3pm each day and prepares volunteers to become instructors for the Army Family Team Building program.  Because we are an all-volunteer corps, we continually recruit instructors.  Instructor Training prepares Family Members, Soldiers, and Civilians to become an effective ACS/AFTB instructor.  No prior teaching experience is necessary.  Instructor Training classes include developing platform skills, teaching adult learners, managing the learning environment, and methods of instruction and the preparation process.  Benefits include childcare (when available), professional development, resume building experience, networking opportunities, and meeting new people.  Please also share this information with those in your life that are interested in teaching – what better way to gain experience than developing your skills with other Army Family members!

Limited weekday childcare [Tuesday through Thursday 0830-1600 ONLY] is available for children registered with CYS - reservations must be made in advance by calling 719-526-4028.  If your plans change and you will not be attending the course, you must call back to cancel your childcare reservation.

In the case of a two hour delay due to inclement weather, classes will begin no earlier than 0930.  If the roads on Fort Carson are closed, all classes scheduled for that day will be cancelled and rescheduled at a later date.
