Parents and Tots Walking Group

#
Note: This event has already passed.

The New Parent Support Program presents a fun summer and fall activity for our military Families starting at the ACS Annex parking lot! ‘Parents and Tots Walking Group’ is geared for Families that have children from birth to three-years-old that want to meet their neighbors, while strolling around Ft. Carson's beautiful landscape.

Weather permitting, this group will be taking place on the first and third Mondays throughout the summer and fall. After our walk, feel free to join each other on our great picnic benches for lunch with your family; we'd love to have your significant other meet up to have lunch as a family.

We encourage you to bring your own sun protection and sunscreen, anything your children may desire on their walk, water, and possible snacks and food for the stroll and afterwards.

Check our Fort Carson ACS Nurturing and New Parent Support Program Facebook page for weather updates.

DISCLAIMER: Please be aware if you or anyone in your family is sick, be courteous to your fellow Parents and Tots by staying home to get better so we can see you soon. We understand that there is a lot of excitement for children on these outings, please be aware and watchful of your children at all times.

Class information for attending in-person: As of June 1, 2021, we are following the current recommendations from Public Health regarding direct or face-to-face services. Parents and children over 2 years old are requested to wear masks during class if not fully vaccinated. We are encouraging families to participate using at least 6 feet of social distancing during classes, however, we realize that this is challenging with young children. Do your best to maintain distance if possible.

If you or your family members are ill or have any symptoms, please stay home, get well and join us next month. Please note that families are at a somewhat increased risk of exposure when choosing to participate in face-to-face services. We have designed our classes to include handwashing/cleaning stations. Please feel free to step away from the activities at any time to wash hands or use hand sanitizer. If you have any questions regarding these instructions, please contact the New Parent Support Program at 719-526-0461.
