Run Details:
Catch Me If You Can 5K starts at 12:00 p.m.

 

  • Catch me if you can 5K is approximately 3.1 miles.
  • $15/person (ages 4+) Early Bird registration opens October 21, 2019 and closes at 12:00 p.m. on December 05, 2019. Includes: shirt, medal and bib (official race timing)
  • Same day registration is from 10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
  • Same day registration is $30 per person. Includes: shirt, medal, and bib (while supplies last)
  • First 325 runners to register will receive a medal
  • Same day registration participants are encouraged to arrive at least 60 minutes prior to run.
  • Little Kid registration is FREE! (no t-shirt or medal included), limit 4 per transaction. Please choose option from the 'Additional Items' menu.
  • Packet pick up will be on Friday 06 December from 5:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m. at the Ivy Fitness Center. If you wish to have someone else pick up your packet they must have the permission slip signed by the participant allowing them to pick up the run packet.
  • If you do not make it to packet pick up on 06 December, you may pick up your run packet the day of the event at the run table from 10:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m.
  • Packet pick up for those that purchased the Mountain Post Living Run Challenge will be at the Ivy Fitness Center on 06 December, from 5:00 a.m.- 10:00 p.m.
  • All runners must be on course by 12:30 p.m.
  • Course will be staffed until 1:30 p.m.
  • Waiver required for participation.
  • Strollers are allowed.
  • Please observe fun run courtesy. Runners to the left, walkers/strollers to the right.
  • No minimum age. Individual waivers are required for participation. All minors ages 13-17 years must have a parent signature. All minors 12 years and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.
  • No Refunds

 

Jingle Bell Jog starts at 12:15 p.m.

  • Jingle bell jog is approximately 1 mile

  • For those that just want to have fun and run.
  • No bib, no shirt, no medal or no ribbon will be given.

No refunds issued due to late arrival or if access to Fort Carson is denied

All personnel entering Fort Carson must be in possession of a valid state or federally issued photo ID from a REAL ID Act compliant state. Current states not in compliance are: Alaska, Kentucky, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Virginia & Washington. (Update to the REAL ID Act effective June 1, 2017)

If using an ID from a state or territory that is not REAL ID Act compliant, then an approved secondary form of ID is required. More information on the REAL ID Act can be found at https://www.dhs.gov/real-id

Fort Carson MWR reserves the right to film, record or photograph event activities for post event purposes. Guests are advised that this may result in the incidental inclusion of guests within any recording or photographs.

Guests assume all risks associated with participation in this event including but not limited to traffic and/or weather variations.

The sponsors of the DFMWR Winter Wonderland and associated activities, the Fort Carson Community, its’ representatives and successors are not liable for claims or liabilities of any kind arising from participation in this event even though liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the guest in attendance.

Weather:

Event goes on regardless of weather, unless Fort Carson is closed due to inclement weather.

Those attending the event assume the risk of injury as a result of inclement weather

In the event of lighting, a warning is issued and guest are asked to clear the area and/or return to their cars until an "all clear" announcement is issued

Parking:

No parking in residential/base housing/neighborhoods on Fort Carson.

Parking is free, space is available on a first come, first served basis.

All personnel must park in designated parking areas.

Parking in prohibited areas will result in a citation and the vehicle being towed.

Please follow the signs for designated parking areas.

Physical Security/Other:

Absolutely no personal grills or burners allowed at Winter Wonderland.

Lost children are accompanied by event staff to the main stage and an announcement is made via the speakerphone to make contact with the parent(s)/guardian(s)

100% random personal property inspection in effect.

No firearms and/or weapons allowed.

Privately owned drones/UAV's are not allowed.

Alcohol in private containers is not allowed. Alcohol may be purchased from vendors located in the festival area

No bikes/scooters/hover boards/skateboards/rollerblades allowed

Pets/Companion Animals vs. Service Animals

No pets or companion animals allowed.

Only ADA service animals are allowed onsite.

Companion Animals are not protected under the ADA.

Under Colorado state law HB16-1426 (effective January 2017), it is a crime to knowingly misrepresent an animal as a service animal.

Traffic:

Please observe posted speed limits.

The area around the festival venue will become congested, please slow down and watch out for pedestrians.
