-
Fort Carson MFLCs offer in-person support only.
If you need virtual sessions, call Military OneSource (MOS) at +1(800) 342-9647 to request telehealth with a licensed MFLC.
This virtual resource through MOS is a great option for couples to use that may be geographically separated.
- Do MFLCs keep notes or records?
-
Nope. MFLCs do not take notes or keep any records about the people they support. Your conversations stay confidential and off the books.
- Do I need a TRICARE referral to talk to an MFLC?
-
No referral needed*. Service members and Family members can talk to an MFLC anytime—just reach out directly. Service providers can also help connect you if needed.
*Exception: If an MFLC is unavailable or your situation requires long-term or clinical mental health support, Military OneSource may refer you to a TRICARE-authorized provider. In those cases, TRICARE may be billed, and a referral or pre-authorization could be required depending on your plan.
- Do I need command approval to meet with an MFLC?
-
Not at all. You can meet with an MFLC on your own time—no approval or paperwork required. You can see any MFLC: whether they’re embedded in a unit, based at ACS, in schools, or through Military OneSource.
- Why hasn't an MFLC called me back?
-
MFLCs only return calls when a voicemail is left.
MFLCs can’t respond to missed calls or texts due to confidentiality rules. You will need to leave a voicemail for a callback. Still having trouble? Call the MFLC Installation POC at +1(719) 526-0471 for assistance.
