2021 Make a Difference Day

Make A Difference Day (MADD) is the largest annual National Volunteer Day dedicated to helping others -- a celebration of “Neighbors helping Neighbors”.  The Fort Carson Make A Difference Day is on Saturday, 23 October 2021. Everyone is welcome to participate to volunteer for this event.  On this day, individuals and families, schools and church groups, businesses and other organizations draw upon their skills and resources to contribute where needs exist.  MADD is one way to help our Military Community and make Fort Carson the "Best Home Town in the Army & Home of America's Best".
 
• Pre-register for the project you want to participate in.
• Go straight to your project site on MADD and begin at 8am.
• Supplies and some tools will be provided, please bring additional tools as needed.
• Work boots, sturdy shoes, work gloves, and face-coverings are required.
• Families with children 14 years and under are welcome; however, parents/guardians must be responsible for monitoring children. Children 15 and older can register independently.
• Pick up your Certificate of Appreciation or Certificate of Achievement before you leave. 
• There will be LIMITED registration at project site. 
 
PICK A PROJECT AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Iron Horse Park/Sports Complex and Dog Park: a makeover and overall beautification of the Fort Carson Iron Horse Park. This includes general cleaning raking and maintenance of the grounds of Iron Horse Park, Sports Complex and Dog Park. Participants to bring their own rakes and gas powered blowers.

Fort Carson Storm Water Drains: General cleaning/maintenance of storm water ditches to include clearing of debris of water drainages. Participants must bring work gloves.

Fort Carson Military Housing: General cleaning and maintenance of the Fort Carson Military Housing community. This includes a makeover and beautification of the picnic areas, playgrounds, and common areas as well as painting/repairing fences and landscape maintenance. All housing areas/villages, specify what village you want to participate to volunteer.

Fountain Fort Carson District 8 (on post Schools): General beautification, cleaning and maintenance of the on post Fountain- Fort Carson District schools. This includes a makeover and beautification of the parks/playgrounds/common areas as well as painting and landscape maintenance if needed. Specify what school you want to participate to volunteer: Abrams, Patriot, Weikel, Mountain Side Elementary School and Carson Middle School.
