Note: This event has already passed.

The two-day Company Commander & First Sergeant Spouse Course is held from 9am to 4pm each day. Your life changes when your Soldier spouse takes command or responsibility of a company - this class is for those whose Soldier is currently or is about to be part of a company command team.  Army Community Service can help prepare you by providing information and resources you’ll need in supporting Soldiers and Family members, communication skills you’ll use in solving problems and maintaining your relationship with your spouse, and an opportunity to ask questions to those that have been through the situations you’re about to experience.  You’ll learn about the structure of the Army and Fort Carson, the deployment cycle, customs and courtesies, coping through crises, character strengths and resilience, recruiting and recognizing volunteers, and more.

Limited weekday childcare is available for children registered with CYS - reservations must be made in advance by calling 719-526-4028. If your plans change and you will not be attending the course, you must call back to cancel your childcare reservation.

In the case of a two hour delay due to inclement weather, classes will begin no earlier than 0930.  If the roads on Fort Carson are closed, all classes scheduled for that day will be cancelled and rescheduled at a later date.
