Note: This event has already passed.

New Parent Support (NSP) and The Resource Exchange (TRE) are partnering with ACS EFMP to provide FREE developmental screenings for military children newborn to 5 years old. This opportunity allows parents and caregivers to celebrate when their child meets his or her developmental milestones and/or determines whether the child needs additional support. Earlier support can lead to better outcomes as the child grows and develops.

Developmental Screening tests are not used to diagnose but are used to see if a child is meeting his or her developmental milestones. Developmental milestones are skills and behaviors that children typically achieve by a certain age such as smiling, crawling, and speaking. Children grow at different rates, however there is a range in what is considered normal development. Looking at milestones can help identify potential problems early and can make a huge impact on a child’s life. Early treatment, known as early intervention, helps children learn important skills, make the most of their strengths, and improve their quality of life.

Free and open to ALL DOD ID card holders. Service animals are welcome.
