Helping a friend or love one who is a victim of domestic violence.

Facilitated by: Fort Carson Domestic Violence Victim Advocate Coordinator
Description: Through open discussion, this session will explain the subtle ways a person becomes trapped in an abusive relationship, understanding why it is difficult to leave, signs to look for and safe ways to help a friend or loved one.  Discussion will also focus on the impact COVID-19 shelter in place mandates has made on victims of abuse and ways society has responded to assist. Participants will learn about Ft. Carson’s victim advocacy program and reporting options.
