The Fort Carson DFMWR Iron Horse Sports and Fitness Center (IHSFC) will close on May 1, 2017 to conduct its annual floor resurfacing maintenance project. The work will take approximately four weeks to complete, beginning May 1, 2017 through May 29, 2017. The facility will remain closed for the duration of the project due to air quality concerns resulting from the solvent-based product used to refinish the wooden floor surfaces in the facility. The IHSFC management and staff have made accommodations to relocate fitness classes, typically held at the IHSFC, to other DFMWR fitness centers – locations are specified in the PDF schedule below. Additionally, gymnasium open play basketball will relocate to the Fort Carson Special Events Center (SEC) beginning May 1, 2017 and will offer specific hours daily for open play basketball with some restrictions.
