This Event is more than just a run! Come out for the 2021 Tropical Luau 5K! Lots of fun and entertainment!

About this event

The Tropical Luau 5k and 1 Mile Guppy Run will be the most fun you can have this summer! Not only is the race included, you get entertainment too!

There will be authentic Polynesian dancers with FIRE and musicians, hair braiders, caricature artists, and more!

Choose from three different tickets to enjoy this race which comes with pool access, food, beverages, and entertainment.

All tickets include the entertainment: the Polynesian performance, hair braiders, and caricature artists. Registered participants will receive a bracelet that must be worn.

If you register your children but do not want to run, you will still need to purchase a ticket to join your children in the pool. This will be the "Aloha Experience." You will have access to all ticket luxuries, including a meal.

Schedule of Events:

4:00 pm: Gates open

4:00 - 6:00: Hair braiders and caricature artists, food will be available, DJ will be providing entertainment

5:30: Lil Guppy 1 Mile Fun Run Starts (parents can run with kiddos for free)

6:00: Big Kahuna 5k Starts. This will be a timed run with age/gender based category winners

7:00 - 8:00: Authentic Polynesian Dancers/Musicians perform

8:00: Event ends

The Big Kahuna Experience, $25

Great for adults, teens, or kiddos who like to run 5Ks!

The Aloha Experience, $20

For adults just wanting to experience the Luau, but don't want to run.

The Lil' Guppy Experience, $10:

Great for young runners/walkers. Parents can run with their "lil' guppies" for free and still participate in the 5K.

The Lil' Shark Experience, $5:

For little ones who will be coming with parents that bought a ticket.

Packet Pick-Up

• Packet pick up will take place on Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday, August 24, 25, & 26 from 3- 6 pm at the NEW Intramural Sports Office
• Same day pick up: There will be same day pick-up available, starting at 4 pm.
• Location: Intramural Sports Office, Bldg. 2031
