Fathering For Life

Fathering For Life is a confidential and supportive program exclusively for Soldiers who are committed to building strong and health relationships with their children. Dads are provide a unique opportunity to enhance their parenting skills and strengthen their Families.

Program Goals & Principles:

The Fathering For Life program is centered around the following key principles:

Promoting Child-Centered Fathering: The program helps fathers to better understand and respond to the needs of their children.

Enhancing Co-Parenting Relationships: It focuses on developing respectful and non-abusive co-parenting relationships with the child's mother.

Building a Supportive Community: The program offers a safe and confidential environment where soldiers can connect with other fathers, share experiences, and learn from one another.

Increasing Father Involvement: Research shows that when fathers are positively involved with their families, children benefit cognitively, socially, emotionally, and developmentally.

What to Expect:

Participants in the Fathering For Life program will engage in a series of workshops and discussions that cover a range of topics, including:

Understanding Child Development: Gaining insight into the different stages of a child's life.

Improving Communication Skills: Learning effective ways to communicate with children and co-parents.

Managing Stress and Anger: Developing healthy coping mechanisms for the unique challenges of military life.

Rebuilding Trust and Planning for the Future: Consolidating learning and creating a positive path forward for the family.

By participating in Fathering For Life, soldiers will not only improve their relationships with their children but also contribute to a stronger and more resilient military community.
