Youth Center

The Fort Carson Youth Center offers a wide variety of recreational, educational, and social programs for middle and high school age teens.  Facility provides before & after school care options for youth grades 6th- 12th, and is partnered with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA) and National 4-H.  

This is an at-will program; youth are allowed to sign themselves in and out of the facility at their discretion. Facility has full-time audio and video CCTV.

Youth may bring personal items, but they are solely responsible for these items. The youth center assumes NO responsibility for lost or stolen items.

Program areas are staffed to accommodate youth interests and to support growth and development. Youth may transition into different areas freely.

Ready Resilient (R2) Program

The Youth Center integrates ready and resilient skills into our programming to build optimism, self-regulation, self-awareness, strengths of character, mental agility and connection.

Meals & Snacks

Breakfast is provided during Before Care, served from 6:30 a.m. - 7 a.m.

An after-school snack is provided from 3:30 p.m. - 5 p.m.
*Youth will be provided with their snack when they arrive at the center.

Lunch is served on school-out days from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

A late snack is provided on Fridays & Saturdays at 7 p.m.

Hours of Operation

Open Recreation Hours:
Monday to Thursday — 1 p.m. - 8 p.m.
Fridays — 3:30 p.m. - 10 p.m.
Also open on the first Saturday of each month from 2 p.m. - 10 p.m.

Before Care:
Monday to Friday — 5:45 a.m. - 8 a.m.
* Before Care is a fee-based activity, and fees are determined by the CYS fee policy. To register for Before Care, please contact Parent Central Services (PCS) at (719) 526-1101

School Out Hours:
Monday to Thursday — 5:45 a.m. - 8 p.m.
Fridays — 11 a.m. - 10 p.m.

Early Release Hours:
Monday to Thursday — 11 a.m. - 8 p.m.
Fridays — 11 a.m. - 10 p.m.

Youth Center Shuttle

The Youth Center Shuttle is a free service for all youth registered. No additional sign up is required. Transportation is optional, and youth are allowed to walk to the center. 

AM: Youth that enrolled in Before Care will be driven to Fountain-Fort Carson Middle School at approximately 7:30 daily. 

PM: Youth walk to the bus pick up in front of the Middle School at 3:25 - 4 p.m. and are transported to the youth center.
