Basic Requirements
To use Automotive Skills:
- Military or authorized ID is required
- Vehicle registration and insurance are required
- Safety training must be completed
- Age and supervision rules apply in shop areas
- These rules help keep everyone safe and the shop running smoothly.
Labor/Service Rates
• Towing (must originate or terminate on post) — $75 (+$2 per mile)
• Lift bay fee — $10 /hr.
• Flat/diagnostic bay fee — $8 /hr.
• Tire balance — $5 ea.
• Tire disposal — $6 ea.
• Brake rotors/drums turned — $15 ea.
• Air Conditioning evacuation & recharge
— $75 + $35 per lb of freon R-134a
— $150 + $10 per oz of freon R-1234yf
• Computer scan/codes cleared — $30 per vehicle
• Welding — Starting at $25 (+$10 per 8 inches after first 8 inches)
• Plasma cutting / Oxy / Acetylene — Starting at $20
• Transmission flush — $65 (Vehicle owner needs to provide own fluid)
• Coolant flush — $65 + (Vehicle owner needs to provide own fluid)
• Electrical check & hookup — $15
• Arbor (bearing) & strut press — $5 per use
• Exhaust tubing bending — $5 per bend/flare
• Sandblasting (cabinet size only) — $20 (minimum)
• Oil Disposal — $1 per gallon of oil
