The ACS Relocation Readiness (RELO) program helps Soldiers and Families transition smoothly to and from Fort Carson by providing orientation, relocation guidance, and community integration support

 

How ACS RELO Helps Soldiers and Families

  • Provides Newcomers Orientation and Welcome briefings for Soldiers and Families
  • Offers welcome packets, relocation information, and local resource guidance
  • Conducts virtual and in-person relocation assistance before and after arrival
  • Connects Families with housing, schools, medical, employment, and community resources
  • Helps Families integrate into the installation and local community faster
  • Serves as a central point of contact for relocation questions and support

 

When Leaders Should Work with ACS RELO

  • Soldiers and Families needing help to adjust to new duty station
  • Soldier or Family is unfamiliar with installation or community resources
  • Soldiers and Families in need of additional or extensive support beyond standard in-processing 
  • When leaders want to improve their newcomer integration and readiness in the unit.
  • When Soldiers or Families are preparing for a PCS, ETS, or retirement transition
