The Victim Advocacy & Family Advocacy Programs offer confidential support and advocacy for individuals affected by domestic abuse, intimate partner violence, sexual assault, child abuse concerns, and a wide range of safety‑planning needs.

How ACS Victim Advocacy & Family Advocacy Programs Helps Soldiers & Families

The program supports commanders and leaders by:

  • Educating units on reporting options and victim rights
  • Reducing misinformation about confidentiality
  • Assisting with safety planning that protects both individuals and units
  • Supporting command response in unrestricted cases
  • Helping leaders navigate high-risk situations responsibly
  • Offering prevention education to reduce incidents over time

Leaders do not have to manage these situations alone.  Early consultation protects victims, Soldiers, and command teams.

  • There are concerns about escalating family conflict
  • Command climate issues involve inappropriate conduct
  • Reintegration reveals significant family strain
