Helping Families Through PCS Moves and Deployment
Permanent Change of Station (PCS) moves and deployments can be hard! CYS offers programs to ensure a smooth transition for your child's care and activities.
PCS Support and Transferring CYS Records
Global Data Transfer (GDT) allows CYS to transfer records electronically to your next duty station, reducing paperwork and saving you time
Seamless enrollment with standardized forms and procedures makes it easy to pick up where you left off at your new installation
Youth Sponsorship Program. Peer mentors help new students adjust to their new schools and communities (Moved up from Deployment and TDY Support).
Deployment and TDY Support
- Support. Families of deployed service members may benefit from financial assistance and priority care placement.
Deployment Benefits
CYS offers discounted rates for families of deployed soldiers. Service provided for Respite Care Hours as spaces are available. Hourly Care reservations can be made up to 30 days in advance. To reserve respite care, please call call (719) 526-8202 or (719) 526-8203.
In order to receive these benefits:
• Use an on-post CYS program/FCC Home for full-day or part-day care
• Have a copy of the Soldier's orders OR a memo from the Commander confirming the eligibility criteria

180 days or longer:
• 16 Hours of Free Respite Childcare that can be used starting 30 days before, through deployment cycle and 90 days after deployment cycle ends.
• Full-day and Part-day Childcare fee reduction of 20% starting 30 days before, through deployment cycle and 90 days after deployment cycle ends.
90 - 179 days:
• 16 Hours of Free Respite Childcare that can be used starting 30 days before, through deployment cycle and 30 days after deployment cycle ends.
• Full-day and Part-day Childcare fee reduction of 20% starting 30 days before, through deployment cycle and 90 days after deployment cycle ends.
89 days or less:
• 16 Hours of Free Respite Childcare that can be used through deployment cycle.
• Full-day and Part-day Childcare fee reduction of 20% starting 30 days before, through deployment cycle and 90 days after deployment cycle ends.
