When a service member is deployed, families should not feel alone. MD&SSO provides support and connections that help families stay informed and supported while their loved one is away.

Staying Connected

MD&SSO helps units share official information with families through trusted communication channels,

including family readiness groups and secure online tools.

Families can:

  • Get updates and resources from their unit

  • Ask questions and get referrals

  • Connect with other families going through the same experience
     

Family Support

Support services may include:

  • Help navigating benefits and services

  • Referrals to counseling or financial assistance

  • Guidance during unexpected challenges
